NON-PROFIT DONATION REQUEST

Elaine Swann is passionate about sharing her etiquette advice and expertise. She always says “No person should go without learning this information because of lack of money”. If your organization is financially unable to secure Ms. Swann as a speaker or presenter you may be eligible for our Non-profit Donation Program

Every year we select 7 organizations to have Ms Swann speak at their event for a greatly reduced cost and in some cases absolutely FREE.

Elaine serves as a Trustee Board member for the San Diego chapter of Girls Inc.


Girls Incorporated is a nonprofit organization that inspires all girls to be ‘Strong, Smart, and Bold’ through a network of local organizations in the United States and Canada.


With local roots dating to 1864 and national status in the U.S. since 1945, Girls Inc. responds to the changing needs of girls and their communities through research-based programs and advocacy that empower girls to reach their full potential and to understand, value, and assert their rights.

Elaine is an active member of the North County African American Women's Assocaiation. (NCAAWA)

The NCAAWA develops support networks that increase opportunities and offer self-help preparation skills needed to help teens and women in today’s society.  They collaborate their efforts for charitable, educational and recreational purposes. 

Each year NCAAWA awards educational scholarships to deserving teens and women of all ages to help young women of North San Diego County to enhance their educational and professional skills.

Membership is open to all women who are located in North San Diego County and surrounding areas and wish to participate actively in the mission and objectives of the organization.

milestone house

Since 2008 Elaine has volunteered her time by facilitating etiquette workshops  to teen girl who are residents of Milestone House.

Elaine now serves as a Trustee Board member for Milestone.

Milestone House offers residential programs designed to prepare at-risk young girls for independent and productive living.

They offer caring support, structure and counseling for young girls who have emotional, behavioral and learning problems.

Their program focuses on working with teens with special learning needs by providing educational therapy services - with the ultimate goal of creating an independent learner.

Milstone House is an accredited member of The California Alliance of Child and Family Services. Licenced by the State of California and approved & highly rated by the San Diego County Department of Social Services.


Located in a peaceful suburban setting in Oceanside, California, their facility is a comfortable, safe place for our girls to live, learn and grow.


 
Oceanside Community Service Television Corporation (KOCT)
Elaine serves as a volunteer and Trustee Board member for KOCT the Oceanside Channels.


Oceanside Community Service Television Corporation (KOCT) is a non-profit organization that produces and facilitates balanced public interest programming for Oceanside and surrounding communities.

KOCT provides public, educational and governmental programming and media access for the community.

Elaine is an active member of the San Diego Association of Black Journalists (SDABJ).

SDABJ advocates on behalf of African-American journalists in San Diego. It is committed to strengthening ties among black journalists; sensitizing all media to the importance of fairness in the workplace for black journalists; and expanding job opportunities and recruiting activities for veteran, young and aspiring black journalists, while providing continued professional development and training.

Their goals include increasing the number of black journalists in management positions and encouraging black journalists to become entrepreneurs. They work to foster an exemplary group of professionals that honors excellence and outstanding achievements by African American Journalists, and outstanding achievement in the media industry as a whole, particularly when it comes to providing balanced coverage of the black community and society at large.

SDABJ works with high schools and colleges to identify and encourage black students to become journalists and to diversify faculties and related curriculum. They're are also committed to providing informational and training services to the general public.

Elaine is an Ambassador for the San Diego branch of the American Stroke Association, a division of the American Heart Association.

The American Stroke Association has developed the Power to End Stroke campaign is designed to raise awareness about stroke in African Americans.


 
Awards
Elaine was honored with the Bethel Memorial Phenomenal Woman award.
Elaine Swann is a recent recipient of the 2006- 2007 Who's Who of Executives and Professionals award.
