Last Minute Christmas Gift Ideas
Food – Do you have a favorite recipe you’d like to share? Place the dry ingredients in a jar or basket. Add pretty ribbons and bows. Then write or print the full recipe and directions on a nice piece of paper or cardstock. Tie with a ribbon and you’re done!
E-certificate – Most websites offer e-certificates that can be emailed directly to the recipients. If you’re meeting them face-to-face on Christmas day just write or type the information about your gift on pretty paper, roll it like a scroll, tie it with a bow and embellish with an ornament.
Time – Whether it’s babysitting service or a lunch date with a loved one or friend, give the gift of your time. Just type or write out your gift on card stock or paper cut in a square. Embellish it with ribbons, bows, buttons, feathers whatever you like. Place it in an envelope. Photos – You can place a photo in a frame and give it as a gift. Make sure there is some special meaning behind the photo. Think of that photo from the whole family getting together this past year. Or perhaps you spent a special occasion with a friend or loved one. A DVD of photos along with music is something that can be made online, downloaded to a DVD, and wrapped in paper.
Subscriptions – Think of a hobby or interest you know your loved one would enjoy. Then search online for the perfect magazine and give them the gift of a year long subscription. To inform the recipient of the gift, if you are able, purchase the current copy, box it or wrap it and embellish with a ribbon.
Re-gift – Nothing wrong with re-gifting. Just follow these guidelines: 1. Don’t re-gift within the same circle of friends. 2. Choose only gifts of value. No junk, gag, or worthless gifts. 3. Do not give used gifts, they should be brand new. 4. Wrap the gift nicely just as you would any other gift. 5. Think before you give. Ask yourself would the recipient really enjoy this gift or are you just giving to give? Make the gift personal.
