One parent recently asked me if a hand written thank you note was still in order. She had been debating with her teen about whether a thank you note is now no longer in style. My answer was of course, yes it is still in order to write a thank-you note. It's just that people have difficulty writing one because they believe they must write something clever and long winded. This is not the case. Tje best thing to do is keep your message short and simple. This is most helpful when you have multiple notes to write at one time.
So here is the anotomy of a thank you note in 3 simple steps.
1. Say "Thank you".
2. Name the gift or the action (business referral, carpool your little one, etc).
3. Say something about the gift or action. Such as what tou will do with it, how it helped you, how it made you feel.
AND THAT'S IT!
