The year 2020 has brought about more trials and tribulations than any of us could have imagined. With folks still fighting for racial justice, a pandemic on a rampage and a historical presidential election all happening at once, there’s more than a little bit of stress and anxiety going around.
With this being said, it can be a little more difficult trying to figure out how to answer the question “how are you?” I recently shared my advice on how to answer with the LA Times.
If a family member were to ask you how you’re doing, not only can we be more transparent, we absolutely should be because these are the folks who are closest to us. They are the ones who may be able to be that listening ear or rally up other family members to let them know that we need more care and support.
